When you have your initial consultation appointment, you will need to bring these things with you:
* Photo ID
* Social Security card
* Tax returns for the last two years
* Paystubs for the last 6 months
* Proof of any other income for the last 6 months (child support, social security, retirement, etc.)
* Bills or statements for EVERYONE you owe — do not pick and choose which bills to bring, just bring them all
* Proof of insurance for your cars — this is the declarations page that comes with your policy, not the card you keep in the car. You can call your agent and have them fax it over if you’d like.
You are welcome to email these items to our office prior to your appointment. It is not necessary for you to print your entire credit report if you can email it to us. You can email any documents prior to your appointment to tami@tennesseefirm.com.
If you do not bring these items, it will make it very hard for your attorney to give you an accurate consultation, and you might be asked to reschedule your appointment to a time when you can have all of these documents. Many of these items must be submitted to the court with your filing.
